New online insurance broker Direct Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (DirectAsia.com Thailand) has gone one step further when it comes to offering convenient car insurance.

DirectAsia.com has launched a new payment system, which allows customers to pay for their insurance policies over the counter at their local convenience store.

Now you can obtain a quote with DirectAsia.com online or by phone and pay for your car premium at your local 7-Eleven, it’s that easy,” says Michael Parker, chief executive officer, DirectAsia.com.

The move recognises the preference of Thai consumers to shop online and pay offline, something DirectAsia.com Thailand expects will soon be common place among car owners.

The Counter Service payment method enables customers to get a quotation online 24X7, or by telephone at 02-767-7777 during operating hours, and either pay immediately with a credit card or go to a Counter Service location whenever and wherever is convenient.

" We are a broker that enables straight-through-processing, so car insurance coverage is fast and easy.

When you pay via Counter Service, you receive a cash receipt for your car insurance premium. DirectAsia.com then sends you an SMS to acknowledge that we have collected the premium. Within a few minutes, we send you an email with all of your policy details from the insurer.

At the same time, your policy pack is being prepared and mailed to you by post, arriving in a week or less, depending on the postal service.

It's all about maximum convenience and giving customers complete confidence in the payment process,”
says Mr. Parker.

To enable Counter Service payment DirectAsia.com first sends its customer an SMS and email with all of their quotation and payment details.

A customer then goes to a convenient Counter Service location to pay.  Here their quotation details are retrieved from DirectAsia.com’s systems.  Customers can then make payment before receiving an official cash receipt including the insurance effective date.

An email as well as the original policy documents and receipt are then instantly sent to the customer’s address.

Mr. Parker says, “Depending upon our customer’s preferred start date, through Counter Service payment, we can help confirm your coverage effective date and get the policy issued immediately for you.”

DirectAsia.com Thailand officially launched in September and is offering to deliver its customers lower prices and better service through “convenience channels”. Its broker business model is based on using the latest systems and security to be more efficient and ensure that good drivers will pay a lower premium than risky drivers.

Working in cooperation with insurance partner Falcon Insurance Public Company Limited, DirectAsia.com is promising Best Price Guaranteed on Car Insurance for Safe Drivers and has been promoting the message through online and offline advertising with the help of its brand mascot, Robin Hood.
